Following on from Valve’s announcement of a major update to the Steam Community yesterday, day 2 of the drip-feed of information has arrived. Today Valve have announced that Groups will be getting an upgrade. With an incredible 2.5 million groups created since the launch of the Steam Community jump past the break to see what Valve have in store for groups.
Groups will be receiving a revamped layout which will make it easier to see what that group is about and to display information in an easier format for users to find out all they can about that group. Valve will be adding a group overview, friend showcase and more.
Much like the discussions tabs on the Game Hubs each group will now receive its own discussion area. Administrators will get complete moderator control over the group forums.
Finally, each group will now be able to list their favourite games for others to find, great for clans, and you’ll also be able to set the default language for the group.
