It is that time of the decade again, the moment that every boy and girl waits for a man with magical gifts comes into their lives for a single night to give them something that they never dreamed of playing. Continue Reading

Back in the day Mario Party was the most intense game you could pop into a system. When this superstar competition went down between friends blood was shed, fingers were lost in A button mashing and you might have lost your palm to rotating the joy stick as fast as possible. Over the years though the games have lost their charm, competition and everything that made them fun originally. So our only hope was that Mario Party 9 would be redeeming the series as we hope with every entry. Sadly though, this is not the case at all and actually the very opposite. Continue Reading
It’s starting to become a stretch for the Wii in these last couple years it is running. Nintendo is planning for the Wii U in hopes of it becoming bigger than the Wii and the 3DS is even becoming bigger and bigger by the week it seems. But Nintendo still has a trick up it’s sleeve to make me buy more games for my dusty Wii. Soon to be released this coming month is Rhythm Heaven Fever, a game full of miniature Wario Ware-esque games all revolving around rhythm. For those of you that bought a Wii just for Skyward Sword this may be a game to fill up your Wii library, it’s not the most hardcore game but that doesn’t seem to be an issue with Rhythm Heaven. You can play alone or with a friend and have a great time playing badminton in an airplane, or become the ultimate wrestler in an interview. This game is also a must for anyone who loves games such as Katamari Damacy and Wario Ware Inc. just because of the noticeable Japanese feeling to the game. If you haven’t seen the english trailer yet, check it out below!
This week portable gaming has had more than the usual amount of news so we thought we would give you an update..
-Nekkei Trendy, a technology website for Japan, that the “Lite” model of the 3DS will be released in Japan during the first half of 2012 as many of you probably already predicted when they announced the 3DS in the first place. Hopefully this new model will have the Circle Pad Pro built into it.
– Also due to the low sales of the PS Vita shops in Japan (A little above 40,000 units, behind the 3DS, the PS3, the original PSP and even the Wii!) have been lowering their prices unofficially just to sell them from their stores, this has been happening more often with the 3G models than the regular models.
-A new Monster Hunter game has been rumored over in japan, this could be a spin off in the series or a port of the fourth title in the series which as it stands now is a 3DS exclusive.
-Capcom has confirmed that 3DS owners will be able to download the demo for Resident Evil Revelations later on this year.
-The 3DS has sold over 4 million units at this point in time, Nintendo states that this is more than the Wii sold in it’s first nine months. The regular Nintendo DS has sold over 10 Million.
Duke is coming:
2K have officially announced that Duke will be coming back to us on May 3rd in North America and May 6th internationally. In celebration of this announcement they have released a brand new trailer showing off more footage of the game including the monsters, women (including nudity), some insane killing moves and of course…the guns! It looks like a return to the classic shooting games of old which is absolutely fine by me and it has been mentioned that the campaign is three times the size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s.
