Sometime’s when I make a sandwich I like to mix things up, I might put some potato chips on there, put it together with some turkey and mayo. Combinations are really fun! You take parts of other things and put them together into something that could be really cool, but there is always the rare really bad combination of things that should have never come together because they were all bad in the first place. That is the best thing that I can describe Army of Two with.

Can you imagine racing up to 11 of your friends in an open world, taking on challenges on the fly to a remixed version of The Who’s Baba O’Riley? In EA and Criterion Games’ Need For Speed Most Wanted the multiplayer will allow you to do just that. Well, you might have to play the music yourself but the thought of it sounds pretty incredible. Similar to Burnout Paradise’s multiplayer where you simply dropped into a world with your friends you’ll be able to pick a car from a selection of Sports, Exotic, Track and SUV and enjoy a nonstop playlist of competitive events. This is the second interactive trailer/demo we’ve seen for a game this week following the release of Dishonored’s ‘Daring Escapes’ gameplay trailer on Thursday. These interactive trailers are awfully good at giving two or more perspectives on how to do missions in the games they’re showcasing. This time it’s the turn of EA who have released an extended video of the Crysis 3 demo shown at this year’s E3. You have the choice to take on the mission in either Stealth or Armour mode. The Gadget Show Live, for those who haven’t been or heard of it, is named after The Gadget Show, the popular Channel 5 TV series. The exhibition has been running since 2009 (the TV series from 2004), is held at the NEC in Birmingham and plays host to many companies from technology and gaming industries and has various talks and demonstrations topped off with a live show presented by the hosts of the TV series.
The show has been expanding year on year and this year was no exception with it expanding into a further 2 halls. After the jump you will find our highlights and thoughts on the show. Continue Reading
EA have released the first gameplay trailer for their FPS Crysis 3 which is due out in 2013 following the release of their teaser trailer on the 19th April 2012. This trailer expands more on the teaser trailer which gave us a first glimpse of the weapons and Cell Corporation nanodome by giving us a little more background story behind what’s happened since Crysis 2. The basis of the game looks to be round entering the nanodome to take back the city from both the aliens and Cell Corporation using an enhanced nanosuit and weapons, including a new composite bow.

EA have released a teaser trailer for Crysis 3 which is due to come out in Q1, 2013. The trailer gives off the first glimpse of the huge nanodome surrounding what was New York City and then shows off 3 different environments; a street level area which has huge trees growing either of a former road now cracked into uneven ground, an abandoned and part destroyed building and finally showing the protagonist, Prophet, shooting an arrow from the futuristic looking bow seen previously in other media.
You can check out the teaser trailer below, which also includes a date of April 24th 2012 for the release of a full trailer.

EA have released the announce trailer for Medal of Honor Warfighter, the next installment in the series which went modern in their last game, Medal of Honor. You’ll once again be returning to the modern battlefield playing as Tier 1 soldiers and taking on the dangerous PETN. Here’s the blurb straight from EA:
Medal of Honor is back and once again puts you in the boots of today’s most precise and disciplined warriors. This time however, you’re going global. Powered by Frostbite 2, Medal of Honor Warfighter delivers an aggressive, gritty, and authentic experience that puts gamers in the boots of today’s most precise and disciplined warriors in an up close and personal look at today’s battlefield and the fight against the ongoing global terror threat. Inspired by actual events, and written by Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas. When an extremely deadly explosive (PETN) penetrates civilian borders, Preacher and his fellow teammates are sent in to solve the problem.
I’m stood next to a rather fetching woman with a large staff in her hands as we both look on at the darkspawn coming at us in the clearing. I, a warrior, lunge in and attack the first wave using a range of powerful skills whilst my sister Bethany, a mage, supports me with blasts of ice and balls of flame. The darkspawn are no match for our combined superiority.
Then, a large roar…a troll appears at one of the entrances to the clearing and charges us both. We eventually take him down, once again with ease. Unfortunately we are now surrounded by darkspawn wondering what to do…in the background a large dragon opens her wings and swoops down towards us, fire pouring from her mouth…then it goes black. EA’s new shooter, sequel to the 2007 Crysis and Crysis Warhead, was released last week and this is the first in the series to offer a competitive online mode, and it’s great fun.
I haven’t yet experienced the single player of Crysis 2, simply because I’ve been so excited about the multiplayer (hence that comes first!), especially after playing the PC demo which gave you access to two maps and two game modes from the full game (the same as the previously released Xbox 360 demo, except with one different map). In the demo, you could also access the basic classes; Assault; Scout; Sniper and; Gunner which were basic, but like in popular shooters they give you access to items/guns you may not have unlocked yet.
