Can you imagine racing up to 11 of your friends in an open world, taking on challenges on the fly to a remixed version of The Who’s Baba O’Riley? In EA and Criterion Games’ Need For Speed Most Wanted the multiplayer will allow you to do just that. Well, you might have to play the music yourself but the thought of it sounds pretty incredible. Similar to Burnout Paradise’s multiplayer where you simply dropped into a world with your friends you’ll be able to pick a car from a selection of Sports, Exotic, Track and SUV and enjoy a nonstop playlist of competitive events.
In Most Wanted there are no startlines, instead a challenge is issued and it’s a case of getting there as fast as possible, taking out your opponents in a bid to get there before the challenge starts. Get there and start the challenge too early and your car’s engine will cut out, leaving you behind whilst the rest of the pack speeds away.
The challenges available will be Race, drift, jump and Takedown, all set in an open world for you and your friends to drive around in. Check out the multiplayer trailer below to see 12 cars in action tearing round the streets of Fairhaven.
