Pre-orders for horror game Slender: the Arrival will receive instant access to the beta. The game will be released in March of this year.
The Arrival is the sequel to the experimental horror game Slender: the Eight Pages, which was developed by Mark Hadley (ParsecProductions), but Blue Isle Studios has been co-developing the sequel.
The original was an experiment which managed to scare pretty much everyone who dared to brave the strange forest in a valiant hunt for pages, trying to collect all eight before being mercilessly hunted by the Slenderman.
Gameplay in the beta of Slender: the Arrival will be set in the forest from the first game, Slender: the Eight Pages, but there will be more levels in the full release. The game will also have much improved graphics and an actual story line, taking the game to “all new heights”.
There is a trailer for The Arrival on the website and it does look quite good, not that the original was exactly known for its graphical content. But to really get a feel for the game, the original is available as a free download.
