There was a Nintendo Direct today! Which means announcements upon announcements!

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team will take place on Pi’llo Island, everyone goes onto a tour and princess peach is kidnapped and pulled into a dream world. The game to the dream world can only be accessed through luigi’s dreams. The game will retain alot of the old battle systems but there are a lot of unique new ways that the battle system is accessed that create new fun and dynamic actions. There will also be hundreds of Luigi’s which will help you progress through parts of the world that could not be accessed in any other way.

Mario Golf: World Tour will have online play that will be accessible across the globe. There will not only be real time multiplayer but there will also be tourneys where you can upload your scores against other players.  There will be traditional golf, without special shots, there will be short courses and then there are tournaments as well (“which you can only play as Luigi”?).

Mario Party is back only this time every board has it’s own set of rules. The interactions with other players will become very important as they will help you advance in the board. There will be a bullet bill board that will test your luck as you choose whether or not you will hide or move forward against a bullet bill. There will be game modes that can be made for long or even short periods of time, the new mini games actually look like they will be a lot more fun than the past couple Mario parties, this may be especially so because it isn’t using motion control on the Wii.

New Super Luigi U, featuring Luigi, is the same overworld map as New Super Mario Bros U only all 82 levels are changed. Luigi’s characteristics are back, as he has his old high jump, he also has trouble stopping fast. All courses are only given 100 seconds, for a bigger challenge and a high replay value.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, The game is a perfect fit for the Nintendo 3DS because of not only the side scrolling but because you can go back and forth between layers of the level. The difficulty mode has been changed for the new game, you can select the original mode or the new mode which allows you more hits by enemies and you will also receive more items such as the portable DK barrel, the green balloon and the crash guard. This new mode will be good for anyone who thinks that the original game was too challenging or for anyone who hasn’t experienced the series yet. There have also been 8 new levels added into the game for the 3DS version only. Coop will also be a big part of the game as well, in classic Donkey Kong Country style one person will control Donkey Kong and one person Diddy Kong.

Yoshi’s Island 3DS, being announced for the first time at nintendo direct is going to be the third installment in the Yoshi’s Island series. It will maintain the old mechanics such as Yoshi’s hovering, Egg throws and escorting babies. More details to come at a later time.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move. The new game will use the bottom screen to place a path for the mini Marios to get across to the star. You have a limited amount of tiles and you will have to navigate marios through giant areas or even multiple marios. You will also be able to upload or download stages from other players all around the world. Therw ill also be new minigames, all of them utilizing the touch screen and 3D screen.

Wii U system update. The new system update will speed up the loading times during the Wii U. The update will also allow players to transfer data between USB drives, install new game updates while in game or even while you are in standby. Also there will be a new feature so you can press b when your wii u starting up so you can go directly into the wii menu. The Wii U will also be bringing the virtual console games from the Wii over to the Wii U so you can play them on the game pad. Panorama View will also be coming to the Wii U as you can view all kinds of experiences all around the world.

Pikmin 3 is going to have another new pikmin type that was hidden in a video from before. This new pikmin has wings that are called winged pikmin. They can carry items in the air and can fly fast. Still no release date yet disappointingly.

EarthBound, after a ton of begging on the Miiverse, Nintendo is going to bring Mother 2 to America’s Wii U virtual console within the coming months. No release date yet but more details to come soon.

Game & Wario, is going to feature all of the old Warioware characters that you have come to enjoy. One of the new modes in the game is going to be called Pirates where you have to watch out for arrows that are coming out at you rhythmically. The other new mode is called Gamer where you will be playing Warioware games on your Wii U gamepad while watching out for your mom up on the TV. Game & Wario is going to feature all of the ridiculous things you expect from the series including more fart jokes and garlic!

LEGO City Undercover is going to be about Chase Mccain’s original case, as he is a rookie cop. He will have to begin by doing some low down jobs for the cops such as saving a dog or bringing donuts to the cops. As he explores and does more jobs he will be able to take on more jobs as he receives more disguises.

Animal Crossing New Leaf is launching in two months, along a new bundle which is the new specially Animal Crossing designed 3DS XL. The game will come preloaded on the games SD card.

Oracle of Ages and Seasons is going to be released on 3DS virtual console. The memory swaps from the original games are going to be coming to the virtual console games too.

Bravely Default is finally coming to America, going back to the original turn based style battles will feature multiple endings, AR card functionality and wireless functions that will bring more replay value to the game.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is going to mark the conclusion of the second Layton trilogy. The game features over 500 new puzzles and an entirely new world for fans of the series to discover. More details to come soon.

There will be three titles from Japan being translated for American audiences that will appear in the 3DS eShop within the coming months!

The Starship Damery is going to be coming to the Eshop that is a suspensful adventure about a mysterious ship.

Bugs vs Tanks, players control a WWII tank squad that shrinks down to the size of bugs

Attack of the Friday Monsters! The story is about a boy who lives in a town where monsters from Tokyo’s old tv show’s come to life.

Atlus has revealed Shin Megami Tensei 4 is going to be coming to America and every copy of the initial shipment of the game is going to come with a design book, a soundtrack, a special sleeve and the game.

Link to the Past 2? The new Zelda game is going to utilize the 3D by bringing in height levels in dungeons . Link will be able to go into walls to solve puzzles which will bring a new dynamic into Zelda puzzles. The game will feature an entirely new storyline in the world of Link to the Past with new dungeons and old characters. Link to the Past (2) is slated to be released holiday 2013.
