Company of Heroes 2 first trailer released

THQ and Relic have released the first trailer for Company of Heroes 2 which basically tells you some back history about the war on the Western Front and then quickly shifts focus to the war on the Eastern Front.  You know, the one where 11 million soldiers died in Russia defending their homeland and 15 million civilians died, it’s quite shocking in comparison to the numbers on the Western Front.

Company of Heroes 2 will be taking place on the Western Front with you taking control of Russian forces for the first time in the series.  Whilst the trailer doesn’t actually contain any in-game footage it does show off a bearded Russian soldier giving orders in CGI so it looks like we’ll have to wait until the next trailer to see the gorgeous engine in action.  THQ and Relic have also released another 2 images of the game which you can view with the trailer after the break. Corsair Vengance K90

As I have found myself playing less FPS games (persistent unlocks and hats to not appeal) my zBoard Merc with it’s dedicated FPS pad has been getting more and more superfluous. The FPS pad, and the resulting lack of a dedicated numpad, was getting in the way more than it was being used. I decided to remedy this by replacing it with a keyboard designed for Strategy and MMO games, the Corsair Vengeance K90. I have been using it for a month or so now so here is the lowdown.

Lollipop Chainsaw Review

There was a time when video games were not taken so seriously, where you could pick up a PS2 game without knowing what it was and most of the time you could probably enjoy it, while playing Lollipop Chainsaw that is one of the things that I was reminded of constantly. While the game itself isn’t the most outstanding product that has been released in years the one thing that the game does perfectly is that it doesn’t’ try to be like any other game out there. Lollipop Chainsaw is a girly, sugar coated, zombie killing spree that is a campy joy ride to play through, most of the time you will enjoy it but besides the game’s atmosphere there are some problems that may break your immersion.

Another underwhelming E3 for Microsoft?

“Today, it’s all about the Xbox 360, the only device that brings together all your entertainment all in one place,” said Don Mattrick, president of Interactive Entertainment, but what good is this for Gamers?

The last few E3 expos have been, arguably, a little disappointing. The focus for Xbox has been Kinect and now the newly announced SmartGlass. These are to improve the system’s entertainment experience, appealing more to families and amateurs rather than the hardcore gamers among us.
