THQ and Relic have released the first trailer for Company of Heroes 2 which basically tells you some back history about the war on the Western Front and then quickly shifts focus to the war on the Eastern Front. You know, the one where 11 million soldiers died in Russia defending their homeland and 15 million civilians died, it’s quite shocking in comparison to the numbers on the Western Front.
Company of Heroes 2 will be taking place on the Western Front with you taking control of Russian forces for the first time in the series. Whilst the trailer doesn’t actually contain any in-game footage it does show off a bearded Russian soldier giving orders in CGI so it looks like we’ll have to wait until the next trailer to see the gorgeous engine in action. THQ and Relic have also released another 2 images of the game which you can view with the trailer after the break. Continue Reading
Today THQ has announced to it’s investors that it was done releasing licensed kids games to put more focus on “core” titles such as Saints Row 3 and Warhammer. THQ opened up the meeting with it’s investors saying that they had sold almost 4 million units of Saints Row The Third and that they expected to sell 1-2 million more. THQ also revealed that their biggest digital sales were Saints Row The Third’s DLC and they have decided that they would focus on their digital services more too. This change of pace for THQ is very big and it gives hope that maybe we will see more quality products from the publisher.
Over the years games have lost all the fun through story, physics and all the things that are “quality”. There were times where a person could just sit down with their controller and screw around for the fun of it but this is not a common habit within games of the present. Now in these boring, sad times we must face the raging online gamers and stunning linear story lines. Thank Saints Row: The Third has come to save is with hilarious story, hilarious gameplay, hilarious physics!….oh did I mention it was hilarious? Continue Reading
2K have officially announced that Duke will be coming back to us on May 3rd in North America and May 6th internationally. In celebration of this announcement they have released a brand new trailer showing off more footage of the game including the monsters, women (including nudity), some insane killing moves and of course…the guns! It looks like a return to the classic shooting games of old which is absolutely fine by me and it has been mentioned that the campaign is three times the size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s.
