When it comes to the latest and greatest in gaming hardware for the PC, I try very hard to keep up. Having had so much success with the GameCom 377, I decided it was time for an upgrade and purchased the GameCom 780.
As far as headsets go, I could not ask for more than what the GameCom 780 delievers.
Comfort wise, the GameCom 780 is great for extended use. With its lightweight and padded ear cushions, I’ve found myself able to listen to music and play no games with minimal discomfort.
This headset also offers crystal clear sound quality with its noise-cancelling mic, which is always an amazing thing when you are a raid leader with a noisy roommate. As an added bonus, the GameCom 780 also offers Dolby Digital 7.1 Surround Sound, a great feature when playing first person shooters when knowing what direction you are being shot from is essential. The cable strength is also a plus, as I am one who tends to forget I am wearing a headset and have, on more than one occasion, broken cables by walking away from my desk with my headset still on.
Overall, the GameCom 780 is an amazing headset with amazing sound and voice quality, and at $79.99, you really can’t beat the price for a great quality product.

Creative Assembly have released 4 new screenshots from Total War: Rome 2 depicting more scenes from the battle of Carthage which has so far been the focus point for their slow trickle of release of information for the game due out next year. Roman Legionnaires are seen running up the beach from their warships, engaging in a full-on assault against the Carthaginian army, including the mighty war elephants, and the Carthaginian fleet in port fully loaded with soldiers.
Check out the 4 new screenshots after the break along with the gameplay trailer which was released last week. Continue Reading
