3 new screenshots for Max Payne 3 have been released showing Max shooting guns with a range of states of hair. These have obviously been taken from different sections in the game and they all have one thing in common: Guns, explosions and awesomeness. It’s looking explosive and you’ll be able to play it when it comes out in May 2012, for now though check out the screenshots below. Continue Reading

It doesn’t matter how much time, money or effort you put into building a colossal gaming rig when you don’t do your due diligence in your housekeeping in terms of registry, defrags, broken shortcuts, temporary files and general optimisation your system. This can be a lot of work, especially if you are not what one would call a ‘computer person’ then you can find software that does it all for you. One of the options in this market is TuneUp Utilities 2012.
TuneUp Utilities is designed to help you manage and optimise your system and has been around for several years now; the 2012-version is compatible with Windows XP or later and is available now for £24.99. Software like TuneUp Utilities is nothing new, but the latest version of TuneUp was released December last year and, not only is it a upgrade on the previous editions, but it can seriously help to speed up your computer, whether you want your computer to run faster for high-end gaming, or just to be a little bit smoother when exploring Windows, chances are your whole system can benefit from changing just a few options. It’s starting to become a stretch for the Wii in these last couple years it is running. Nintendo is planning for the Wii U in hopes of it becoming bigger than the Wii and the 3DS is even becoming bigger and bigger by the week it seems. But Nintendo still has a trick up it’s sleeve to make me buy more games for my dusty Wii. Soon to be released this coming month is Rhythm Heaven Fever, a game full of miniature Wario Ware-esque games all revolving around rhythm. For those of you that bought a Wii just for Skyward Sword this may be a game to fill up your Wii library, it’s not the most hardcore game but that doesn’t seem to be an issue with Rhythm Heaven. You can play alone or with a friend and have a great time playing badminton in an airplane, or become the ultimate wrestler in an interview. This game is also a must for anyone who loves games such as Katamari Damacy and Wario Ware Inc. just because of the noticeable Japanese feeling to the game. If you haven’t seen the english trailer yet, check it out below!
Yesterday Valve announced their first mobile application, Steam mobile, for iOS and Android devices.
Steam users will be able to log into the application, currently in an invite only Closed Beta, and chat to their friends on the go, browse community groups and user profiles, view screenshots and other generated content for their favourite games, read the latest gaming news, view Steam deals and more. Hopefully this means no more missing out on Steam deals whilst away from the PC. Continue Reading
Looks like the PS3 and the PS Vita are getting a good bit of characters that the Xbox 360 isn’t getting. The Sony versions of the game will include Pacman, Cole (from Infamous 2), Toro and Kuro and the original Megaman from NES, and no we don’t mean the pixelated one. Check out the new promo video below!
Today THQ has announced to it’s investors that it was done releasing licensed kids games to put more focus on “core” titles such as Saints Row 3 and Warhammer. THQ opened up the meeting with it’s investors saying that they had sold almost 4 million units of Saints Row The Third and that they expected to sell 1-2 million more. THQ also revealed that their biggest digital sales were Saints Row The Third’s DLC and they have decided that they would focus on their digital services more too. This change of pace for THQ is very big and it gives hope that maybe we will see more quality products from the publisher.
For those of you who love killing zombies, are a fan of the horror genre, or remember the cheesy live action scenes of Resident Evil 1, be prepared! The trailer for Resident Evil Six has arrived and it is nothing less than epic. The question is what type of game will Resident Evil 6 be; a horror survival or a third person action game?
I suspect there’s been a fair amount of kills racked up now in Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim but one player is choosing to play the game by not killing anything, be it man, beast or even the undead.
His character is of the Khajiit and he’s called him Felix and he’s a peaceful monk. I presume this is in reference to the Felix cat from TV since he says his reasoning behind this behaviour is that Felix wouldn’t do it in real life and this is how monks should be. It’s pretty impressive considering how much of the game tempts you to kill things and yet he’s managed to get to level 9. He won’t take on any quests which require you to kill things and his sneak and magic levels are pretty high!
Anyway, he’s kindly put together a video of Felix in action for you:

It would appear that Croteam, developers of Serious Sam 3: BFE, have decided that rather than use the traditional methods of DRM for their game on PC they would place a large scorpion/man beast instead. What happens next is an invincible beast constantly coming after you which no doubt turns the difficulty level of the game up a notch or three. This Youtube video shows all:
In September, Blizzard Entertainment began sending out closed Beta Testing invites for the highly anticipated Diablo III. While it seems there have been a rather limited number of these highly sought after beta invites, I have been fortunate enough to have a friend ( thanks again Mike!) who has been kind enough to allow me to watch him play the game in order to write this series of content previews for the GTN readers!
