Expect Three New Titles From Mojang Soon

Posted by Kieffer Wilson on January 14, 2012

If you don’t know who Notch is then you probably have not read any PC game news within the last couple of years. Notch is part of Mojang who created the famous game Minecraft and even if you don’t know who Notch is you have indefinitely heard of Minecraft. Minecraft’s success has been undeniably huge and Mojang does not plan on stopping their success according to an interview that IGN had with Notch.

Notch himself but that does not mean that the other games won’t be equally as good. You may have heard that the Scrolls Alpha is to be released soon and also that Cobalt, a game that they published but not developed, is in the alpha stage right now. Hopefully we will be able to see these new games soon!

Posted in: Gaming, News. Tagged: Discounts, Eufloria, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, Okabu, Payday:The Heist, Playstation Plus, PSN, Rochard, Rocketbirds: Hard Boiled Chicken, Starhawk. Leave a comment

If you were a big fan of Warhawk you will be happy to know that the Starhawk Public beta will be starting soon. The game is a spiritual successor to the 2007 PS3 game Warhawk and will have many changes made. Unlike the last game there will be a story line involved about a man named Emmett Graves who becomes mutated with powers while working at a space rift mine, this eventually leads to many conflicts as mutants or “outcasts” aren’t accepted. If you are looking forward to playing the beta then this coming Tuesday you should be excited because Playstation Plus users will be getting the Open Beta! Also this tuesday Sony has announced that there will be some big deals on 12 of their games. So far the games that have been revealed are Eufloria, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, Okabu, Payday: The Heist, Rochard and Rocketbirds: Hard boiled Chicken. These games will be 30% off plus 20 more percent off if you are a playstation plus user. So if you were planning on buying something on PSN this coming tuesday just wait because the discounts are coming.

Need Your 3DS To Be A Little Less Portable?

Posted by Kieffer Wilson on January 12, 2012
Posted in: Hardware, News, Tech. Tagged: 3DS, kid icarus uprising, Nintendo, plastic stand. 1 Comment

It looks like the launch of Kid Icarus:Uprising will be accompanied by a plastic stand so that you don’t have to hold your 3DS while you are playing it. While the controls of the new Kid Icarus might be frustrating or tiring to the hands Nintendo felt that they would give 3DS owners a break by letting them sit it down on a table, that is if you have a table while you are sitting on the bus playing your handheld system. The stand does not make much sense now but maybe it’s uses will be more apparent later on… Continue Reading

There Will Be No PS4 At E3, There Might Not Ever Be a PS4

At CES Kaz Hirai of Sony stated that there would be no Playstation 4 at this year’s E3 stating “I’ve always said a 10-year life cycle of the Ps3  and there is no reason to go away from that”. Is Sony living in the PS2 days where they couldn’t be stopped no matter what or do they have something else up their sleeve? Well according to Gaikai, a cloud based gaming service, they claim that “there won’t be another generation of systems and that will be the biggest news of E3”. This shouldn’t be taken too seriously as this seems more like a fantasy than a realistic prediction.

The Fallout MMO May Finally Be Brought Into This World

Posted by Kieffer Wilson on January 9, 2012
Posted in: Gaming, News. Tagged: Bethesda, Fallout MMO, Interplay, MMO, PC, RPG. 4 Comments

If you enjoy RPG’s at all you know that the Fallout franchise is one of the biggest titles in the genre. Fallout 3 one many game of the year awards and New Vegas was not a disappointment either. Well for a while now there has been a dispute between Bethesda and Interplay about a Fallout MMO and who would create it. Originally when the argument first arose it was settled that Interplay was to have a 30 million dollar budget to create a game by April 2009 but the deadline was not reached (at least by Bethesda’s standards) and the game went back into the depths of the unknown. Many of you Fallout fans had probably already given up on the possibility of there ever being a Fallout MMO as these things tend to drag on until the end of time, but there is great news! Bethesda has announced that they have received all the rights to develop a Fallout MMO and by holiday season next year Bethesda will own the entire franchise.

Diablo 3 Coming February 1st!?

Posted by Kieffer Wilson on January 8, 2012
Posted in: Gaming, News. Tagged: Best Buy, Blizzard, Diablo 3, Minnesota, PC, Rumors. 1 Comment

The rumours about the Diablo III release date were quashed by Blizzard’s Community Manager via Twitter, @Bashiok, he said: “Diablo III does not have a release date. Any store or person claiming otherwise is guessing,” added by Akardo.

For all of you who have been waiting for the ages it looks like Diablo 3 finally has an official release date! Well….Best Buy official that is. It seems that in Rochester, Minnesota a countdown display for the game was spotted inside of a Best Buy store. Blizzard has not commented on this yet but it looks like Best Buy’s website reads the same date. For proof the picture is below, it has been checked and it is legitimate. IGN and Joystiq are looking for comments from Blizzard soon.
