Can you imagine racing up to 11 of your friends in an open world, taking on challenges on the fly to a remixed version of The Who’s Baba O’Riley? In EA and Criterion Games’ Need For Speed Most Wanted the multiplayer will allow you to do just that. Well, you might have to play the music yourself but the thought of it sounds pretty incredible. Similar to Burnout Paradise’s multiplayer where you simply dropped into a world with your friends you’ll be able to pick a car from a selection of Sports, Exotic, Track and SUV and enjoy a nonstop playlist of competitive events. Players will be able to explore and navigate the open seas to command your own naval warship as well as taking on enemy warships in naval warfare. In the trailer after the break we see the player navigating their warship, using cannon and other weapons to take down enemy warships and boarding them to engage in close quarter combat. It may seem like it was just yesterday that the worlds of Cloud Strife and Mickey Mouse collided to create Kingdom hearts, but Dream Drop Distance marks 10 years of the series’ lifespan. By this point in time most gamers understand what Kingdom Hearts is and have decided whether or not it is a series that is worthy of their library, and Dream Drop Distance understands that about itself. For a Kingdom Hearts game with Disney characters, vibrant colors and wonderful music, Dream Drop Distance is the worst game for someone new to the series to be introduced to. The storyline has reached a point where it’s hard to make sense even for a seasoned Kingdom Hearts player and it’s fairly weaker than the other entries in the series, the gameplay is a bit more frustrating than the other entries, the storyline is a bit off and the game might be better off without some of the new features.
This is the second interactive trailer/demo we’ve seen for a game this week following the release of Dishonored’s ‘Daring Escapes’ gameplay trailer on Thursday. These interactive trailers are awfully good at giving two or more perspectives on how to do missions in the games they’re showcasing. This time it’s the turn of EA who have released an extended video of the Crysis 3 demo shown at this year’s E3. You have the choice to take on the mission in either Stealth or Armour mode.
